The "elder's room" room at NAYA, the Native American Youth & Family Association, is a place to enjoy doing aerobics, reading the paper, knitting, telling stories and laughing on a daily basis. NAYA is buying their building from PPS this month after a large fundraising effort. ..

  • One of the older residents at Dignity Village in Portland, Oregon, remembers better treatment for the homeless years ago.  There are now 65 homeless people who have taken up residence on the leaf recycling land near the airport with the city's permission. They are being asked to leave again by October and find a new home.
