The Eyeglass Travels of Enfoque Ixcan
This gallery tells the story of Dr. Scott Pike's efforts to bring better eye care to the Ixcan Region of Guatemala.It chronicles the donation of used eyeglasses in the Portland, Oregon, area to a prison for repair and prescribing. Then off to Pacific University where optometry students join Dr. Pike on a trip to the jungle cities in northern Guatemala. His organization Enfoque Ixcan having helped thousands there over the past 12 years to see better, some even requiring surgery provided free of charge.
