February 15, 2003 - Troops from 1st Batallion, 162nd Infantry mass at the Gresham Armory to gear up and say goodbye to their families. Later they are bused to PDX and loaded onto a flight for Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, CO. for several weeks of training. SPC Anthony Acuna comforts his daughter Haley, 11, as he says goodbye to his family. He is a troop medic.
